Thanks for being so patient with me...

I want to update you on how I am doing. I am improving, but very slowly. Still having trouble being able to breathe (asthma), so am still not able to do too much!

On that note, my next 10 card classes will be postponed for one week and will be held on Wed. Nov. 18th at 6:30 pm and Thurs. Nov. 19th at 1:00 pm and 6:30 pm. We will be making some fun cards...snowmen, Christmas mouse, etc and 2 styles of gift card holders. I will get some samples done and posted as soon as possible!

I did want to show you the photo page from the event that I was part of last Sunday. We had such fun, lots of prizes, and lots of great projects!

 

From the top left, we made 2 candles in a Box #2 (Big Shot); a cute chocolate bar cover; the Fancy Favour box (Big Shot) with decorated peppermint patties; bookmark with a list on the back for remembering stocking stuffers to buy (my design!); then a fun little box that can hold chocolate or 3" x 3" square gift tags (one tag shown); a wine bottle gift tag with room for a gift card (my design, too!); and lastly, a beautiful pocket gift card holder with a topper...just gorgeous!

Some of these would make great hostess gifts, too!! I hope you enjoyed looking at the photo and will maybe want to copy some of these ideas. Let me know if I can be any help!

Too Sick to Post!!

Please forgive my absense for the next few days as I try to get back on my feet. I have a severe cold and respiratory infection which will take a few days to bounce back from.

A Day Late...but at least not 2 weeks late!!!

I had a great time last night at my class to make the Circle Scrapbook! Thanks so much, ladies!!

I will be offering this class again later in November on a weekend so it is easier for you Moms with wee children to get out (maybe Daddy can watch them or see if Grandma is available!!) I will let you know the date after November 15th. So stay tuned...

Here are some photos of the "O Christmas Tree" Bigz XL die (for the Big Shot) that is available in the Holiday Mini Catalogue on page 29, item #116822. This is an amazing die in that the tree, once assembled, folds completely flat to go inside a card. When the card is opened the tree pops up to a 3D tree. I can't find the card I made so I will make another one to show you later.

Today I will give you some info and show you some projects I have already done.

One tree takes one whole sheet of 12" x 12" piece of cardstock, half of the sheet cuts the whole die once and then the other half is cut into three pieces, each 4" x 6" so that you can then cut 3 more each of the medium tree piece and the triangular small slotted piece. Here is the photo to show you how many pieces you will need to build one tree.

Next are two pictures of  
  an assembled tree both open (3D) and flattened. 

Amazing how it folds up, isn't it?

The last photos I have for you today is a tree that uses two base pieces so that it stands straight but this one doesn't fold. (Only one base piece is used for a folded tree for in a card.) The tree decorations and star are from a Sizzlet die on the same page as the Bigz die, item #118140. I used Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry and Brushed Gold cardstocks to make this tree in a box.

I made this tree into a box with a lid that could be used as a scrapbook type gift by putting photos or journalling on the insides of the box that fold down. (If you would like the box instructions, please email me and I will send you the measurements.)

Oh My Goodness!! I haven't posted since Oct. 12!!! and Final Deal of the Week!!!

Wow...sorry about that everybody!! I have no big excuse other than I have been crazy busy with stamping, meetings, another big stamping event on Nov. 1st, and trying to get Christmas cards made to sell at bazaars in November. I did fit in lunches and suppers with friends, and lots of emails with my step-mom (of 35 years!!) as she prgressess through her Chemo treatments (which are all going well...and other than losing her hair, she has not had too many problems...Thank God for this blessing!)

Here is the final deal of the week and if you have kids or grandkids, you might want to stock up on this one. I bought the boy one for my grandson just to play with and it has everthing you need for a party...and you can even order a personalized stamp to go with it. The boy stamp says "Captain your child's name" and the girl one says "Princess your child's name". The personalized stamps are on page 137 of the big catalogue. Once the party is over, they will always have their stamp as a momento and to use as they wish! It is just too cute.

I just want to show you the most amazing card that the very talented Jodi Kutz demonstrated at our last Quarterly meeting on Oct. 19. This card uses our Sweet Treat Cups which are in the Holiday Mini on pg.7 (12 cups for $3.95). Jodi made this into a snowglobe by adding water and sparkles and it does not leak!!! (I wouldn't send this through the mail, though, unless you put it in a box with some cushioning.) Here are two views...from the front and from the side! Isn't this amazing!! (You can double click on the photos to make them larger so you can see the details better.)

 

I demonstrated the O Christmas Tree Bigz XL Die for the Big Shot (which is also in the Holiday Mini catalogue). I will be back tomorrow with photos of the trees I made!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend...it's supposed to be sunny here in London. That will be nice for a change and will give us the chance to get all the outdoor stuff all ready for winter!

Here are four of the five Christmas cards we will be making in classes on Oct. 14rh and 15th. There are still spots available if you want to join me! One Successful Event Over, Next One on November 1st!!

I want to thank all the customers and fellow demos for making this past Sunday's Technique Event such a success and so much fun!! I was so exhausted at the end of the day but it was good exhaustion! The kind that comes from a job well done and with very few glitches!!

The next event, as I posted before, is on November 1st! I would love to have a great group of you, my friends and fellow crafters/stampers join me for another wonderful, fun afternoon! It gives you a chance to make a few hostess gifts/stocking stuffers before the big rush. Hallowe'en will be history for this year on November 1st and it will be a perfect time to get that headstart on Christmas!

I have made up this flyer to show a couple of the projects you will be making (most of the tables will have either a time consuming project or one with a number of parts). There will be 6 project tables you will rotate through, spending about 1/2 hour at each table. The women who start at my table will be together for the afternoon as you go from project to project. So invite a friend or two and come out for some laughs, candy, and Christmas fun!!
